Libby Hill: PDA and Auditory Processing Difficulties

Libby has more than 35 years’ experience in her field. She works with autistic children, those with PDA and Selective Mutism and belongs to the PDA professionals’ group, the PDA research group and the PDA working group who are trying to design formulations for clinicians to determine PDA from demand avoidance.

In this workshop Libby will be talking to us about auditory processing difficulties, what are they, what is the impact and how does this affect the child with PDA?

Many children with PDA have auditory processing difficulties. Libby will look at this hugely important issue and how the effect can be mitigated. These strategies need to be included as part of the EHCP
